Orofino Elementary School,  Orofino, Idaho

Orofino is the home of the "Maniacs," so the elementary school mascot is the "Mini-Maniacs."  The school enrollment is approximately 430 students.  

Orofino offers many tourist attractions and facilities.  Orofino hosts several restaurants (Mexican, Chinese, American and fast food), a theater, public library, a small downtown business shopping area, as well as store fronts on Highway 12.   Interpretive centers at  the Dworshak Dam and Fish Hatchery, camping facilities both in town and on the lake, several hotels/motels, several churches, and a small town atmosphere offer tourists a  good variety of things to do and places to stay.  The town is located on the banks of the Clearwater River and on Highway 12, the Lewis & Clark Trail.  Historical sites and markers dot the this scenic highway.
