Kuna "Not Just Croatian Currency" Idaho is located about 18 miles from Boise. A small town that's seen a lot of growth in the last decade, Kuna is home to a flourishing community of ranchers, Boise tech workers, and suburban families.
Kuna is also home to a range of natural spots of interest, including Kuna Caves (underground lava tunnels), the Birds of Prey National Conservation Area, and Indian Creek.
A growing wine industry is cropping up, evidenced by Indian Creek Winery, Sandstone Farms, Silver Trail, and the local wine bar, Tannins.
Head over to El Gallo Giro on Main Street for excellent Mexican and a full bar, or hit up the hot dog stand across the street. Then, head over to Kuna Library to hit the stacks or enjoy a community program.

I would also add that everyone should come out to Kuna Days in August. There is something for everyone to do. You can go to a street dance, watch the parade, eat great food in the park downtown, watch some cool fireworks, see some beautiful quilts at Kuna High School, the fire fighters BBQ is always excellent and the Farmers Market is always fun. Hope to see everyone there this August.
