A great area -- where I grew up so many years ago!  Now as then, most people who live in Filer work in Twin Falls or on surrounding farms.  Some major businesses in the area include Filer Mutual Telephone Company, Logan's Market, Twin Falls County Fairgrounds (or as the locals call it, the Filer Fair), Filer School District, Idaho Trout Company and Seminis.

Population is 2,004 -- only slightly larger than when I was there almost 40 years ago!  Life is a slower pace than most places -- it is small town America afterall.

Great breakfast and lunch though at Hooked on Chocolates (downtown) and Mama Lasagna's (on Highway 30).

Next time you are traveling on Highway 30 between Twin Falls and Buhl, stop in and smell the roses!
